With half of Week 10 in the books, it’s time once again for our weekly risers & fallers list. The past couple of weeks have been kind to infielders Junior Caminero & Jeremy Pena, both of whom have been among the best at their respective positions. But on the wrong side, Jesus Luzardo’s stock has sunk in the interim.

Risers

Junior Caminero’s been on a heater over the last week. Caminero nearly doubled his home run total since May 24, as the Rays’ third baseman blasted six home runs to push him to 14. That performance moved him to a tie for tenth in the Majors.

It felt like a matter of time for Caminero. The 21-year-old is a barrel machine who can catch up to fastballs efficiently with his bat speed. Now, the wait is on to see where Caminero ends this year, as far as home runs are concerned.

Aside from Caminero’s breakthrough, the attack of the utilitymen happened this past week. Willi Castro, who’s been a sleeper fantasy player over the last two seasons, hit four home runs on the Twins’ current road trip, which ended on June 5.

No, Castro hasn’t been running for stolen bases, which was where most of his fantasy value was derived two years ago. But, Castro — who can play virtually every infield position except for first & outfield in fantasy — is a nice find for those who had him (note: I’ll raise my hand on that).

Meanwhile, in Boston, Ceddanne Rafaela’s been a key producer for a Red Sox team currently in flux thanks to Alex Bregman‘s injuries and cold spells from Kristian Campbell and Trevor Story.

Rafaela, from May 27 through June 4, finished second in the Majors with Christian Yelich in total hits (14) and tied for fourth in home runs (4). The 24-year-old’s been more consistent his year in terms of making contact, a positive sign a young hitter who’s shown plus pop and bat speed at times.

Of course, fortuitous bounces — or in this case, fly balls — work, as well.

Lastly, Jeremy Pena continues to produce. The Astros’ shortstop added three home runs and 13 hits over his last eight games, batting .419 over those contests.

For someone not rated as one of the best shortstops in fantasy, Pena became a fantastic option in his fourth season. As of June 5, Pena is fifth in home runs (9) and third in hits (72). Not to mention, Pena picked up 10 stolen bases, putting him on pace for his first 20-20 campaign.

Fallers

Perhaps the biggest storyline — aside from the numerous injuries to star pitchers in recent days — on the pitching front is the regression of Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo entered play on May 31 with a 2.15 ERA and 77 strikeouts over 67 frames. However, his last two starts have been nightmares.

Luzardo got hammered by the Brewers, as he surrendered 12 earned runs on May 31. Less than a week later, he gave up eight earned runs and nine hits against the Blue Jays. Those two starts spiked his ERA to 4.46.

Next up, let’s move on to the hitters.

We’ll see where this goes with Luis Robert Jr. but for fantasy owners, I would imagine one would want to see him get moved somewhere else.

Robert Jr. went 0-14 with two walks over his last five games before June 5. Yes, the 21 stolen bases are nice. However, keep in mind the White Sox outfielder only had 34 hits over the first two-plus months of the 2025 campaign. Not exactly ideal.

Royce Lewis, meanwhile, is hitting .141 on the season. Over his last five games as of this writing, Lewis is in 2-17 funk; although, not all is bad. Lewis isn’t whiffing much and chasing left. The problem? The Twins’ third baseman is getting underneath on pitches way too much, particularly against fastballs.

Corey Seager, meanwhile, has been cold since his return from the IL. Seager went 2-24 (.083 AVG) with 11 strikeouts across his first six games back.
