It’s time to scour for more help in the pitching department, as we begin Week 13 of the 2026 fantasy baseball campaign. This week’s list includes two emerging arms, plus two IL pitchers who should be back in short order.

Best Week 13 pitchers to target

• SP Shane Bieber (Blue Jays)
• SP Matthew Boyd (Cubs)
• SP Andre Pallante (Cardinals)
• SP Martin Perez (Braves)
• SP Walbert Urena (Angels)

The Braves have been fortunate to find help in the rotation amidst a tough rash of injuries. And the emergence of Martin Perez, a former All-Star just a few years ago, has been part of the reason why the Braves have amassed a nice cushion in the NL playoff race.

Perez tossed six strong innings against a tough Brewers team on June 19 and, in fact, picked up a win in a game in which he was opposed by Jacob Misiorowski. Like in past years, Perez isn’t a great strikeout option, although th 28% Whiff% over the last two starts has been quality.

Walbert Urena has quietly been one of the better rookie pitchers in the Majors this season. Urena, who possesses a heavy, running sinker, has also struck out 64 over 67 innings this season, a figure in the top ten among rookie MLB pitchers. In his last start, he stymied the A’s for five innings and didn’t allow an earned run for the second time in three outings.

Andre Pallante is one of the few widely available two-start streaming options this week. Pallante will get the D-Backs at home on the 22nd, and likely, the Marlins this upcoming weekend.

Lastly, look for the IL pitchers. Shane Bieber won’t be there for long, as he’s expected to come off the injured list and make his first 2026 MLB start on the 22nd against the Astros.

Matthew Boyd is on the comeback road. Boyd struck out seven over four scoreless this past weekend in High-A and threw 59 pitches in total.

Overview of Week 12

Yet again, Griffin Jax was very good, as he struck out five over five and earned a win over the Nationals this coming weekend. A good pickup for those who listened to our Week 12 advice.

Dustin May tossed a complete-game shutout against San Diego in what was his finest outing as a Cardinal yet this past week. Unfortunately, on a day for the bats, he bookended the week with, arguably, his worst outing as a Cardinal.
