For the second time, Aaron Judge is on the injured list. But while Judge was optimistic that he’ll return again this season, there’s still a lot of public uncertainty regarding his injury. Additionally, the Rangers saw Cal Quantrill, a key piece of their rotation over the past few weeks, go down early.

Judge talks injury

As expected, the Yankees placed outfielder Aaron Judge on the 10-day IL with a calf strain.

Judge indicated on the 19th that he would like to be ready for the playoffs. However, Judge doesn’t know what grade the calf strain is. As of now, the Yankees have yet to provide an update on that.

Quantrill left early

Rangers pitcher Cal Quantrill left the game against the Blue Jays in the second inning with a lat strain.

Manager Skip Schumaker indicated that Quantrill would undergo an MRI on September 20.

The Rangers placed reliever Michel Otanez on the 15-day IL with a viral illness.

Giants pitcher Reiver Sanmartin was placed on the 15-day IL with a right oblique strain.

Astros reliever Enyel De Los Santos was placed on the 15-day IL with right knee tendinitis.
