The countdown to the 2026 MLB Draft is already on, even though the 2025 edition is still weeks away. On June 27, USA Baseball confirmed the list of 56 players who made the Collegiate National Team (CNT) training camp roster, many of whom will be names of high interest heading into 2026 & 2027. It’s headlined by several standouts from the 2025 season, including Daniel Cuvet, Roch Cholowsky, and Dax Whitney.

A Look at Team USA
It’s a star-studded list, to say the least. Highlighting the list includes several potential 2026 first-rounders, including Daniel Cuvet, Roch Cholowsky, and Liam Peterson.
Cuvet was a wrecking ball over his first two seasons with Miami (FL). The soon-to-be junior smacked 24 home runs as a freshman, then slashed .372/.450/.708 (1.158 OPS) this past season.
Chowlosky, arguably the best college player heading into 2026, hit 23 home runs and played strong defense to help get UCLA to the College World Series this past month.
Peterson, who’s been in the Florida rotation the last two seasons, leveraged his mid-to-high-90s, power fastball to 96 strikeouts over 69.1 IP.
Then, there’s Dax Whitney. Whitney shined during the College World Series, thanks to a devastating fastball/kick-change/curveball combo. Whitney struck out 120 batters last season for Oregon State, easily the highest among freshmen.
Additionally, the roster features notable 2025 freshmen and sophomores who have new homes for next season.
A.J. Gracia and Kyle Johnson, two key pieces for Duke’s team last season, joined ex-head coach Chris Pollard at UVA. Pollard, who spent the last 13 seasons with the Blue Devils, was hired as Virginia’s head coach in June after the Supers.
Cameron Bagwell, the ex-UNCW right-hander who doesn’t throw particularly hard — his fastball sat in the high-80s to low-90s — but has a lot of weapons at his disposal, including a curve from his over-the-top delivery. Bagwell, who posted a 3.02 ERA and struck out 62 over 85, transferred to Wake Forest.
Other notable names include 2025 freshman star Noah Franco (TCU) and Drew Burress (Georgia Tech). Burress hit 44 home runs across his first two college seasons with the Yellow Jackets. However, the one blemish on Burress’ college career is the .125/282/.219 slash line he posted in the Cape last summer.
The 56 players listed above will play each other in intrasquad action before the official 2025 national team is named on July 4. The 2025 Collegiate National Team will play in the USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star series from July 8-13 in Japan.
Meanwhile, the remaining players will participate in exhibition play against the Appalachian League Select Team.
