A Look at Final Regular Season Ratings Update

Seven players went Diamond in the final MLB The Show 23 ratings update for the regular season. Those players were Blake Snell, Tarik Skubal, Austin Riley, Josh Naylor, Nolan Jones, Manny Machado, and Juan Soto.
It’s not a surprise to several of those names, particular Snell. The left-hander struck out 41 over 31.0 innings in September and owned an ERA of 0.58.
Soto was quite the winner in Diamond Dynasty, as he also received a 99 OVR Lightning for the month of September. Soto hit .340 with 10 home runs in the month of September.
Those weren’t the only notable increases for Diamond Dynasty. Gerrit Cole jumped up four points to 90 OVR, while Bobby Witt Jr. went to 91 OVR after he hit the 30-30 plateau in his second Major League season.
Among non-Diamond upgrades, Reds OF TJ Friedl (+7, 84 OVR), Orioles SP John Means (+6, 83 OVR), and Phillies OF Johan Rojas (+9, 80 OVR) also received significant upgrades.
For the downgrades, Will Smith lost Diamond status. The Dodgers catch went down two points to 83 OVR. The same can be said for Nolan Arenado (-2, 83 OVR), who went down after what was a forgettable season for the St. Louis Cardinals.
San Diego Studio will release another ratings update, but it will be based upon postseason production.
