If you were wondering what to do with all those Core cards in MLB The Show 23, wonder no longer. On May 12, San Diego Studios released what will likely be the first Core collection reward for Diamond Dynasty. It’s rather appropriate that the first Core collection reward has the word “core” in his name, as it’s Rangers star shortstop Corey Seager. So, how can you get 99 OVR Corey Seager in MLB The Show 23? Let’s take a look.

99 OVR Corey Seager in MLB The Show 23
First, let’s take a look at the stats on the 99 OVR Seager:
The collection for the 99 OVR Corey Seager is quite similar to the ones for Set 1 & 2. In order to get 99 OVR Corey Seager, one must collect 180 Core Legend and Flashback cards in Diamond Dynasty. This collection does not include Live Series players.
We’ve already gone over as to what items fall under the Core category previously, but we’ll do a quick overview. Simply put, Core cards are any items that are less than 90 OVR. Additionally, certain 90+ OVR cards also fall under this category. 90 OVR+ Core cards can be obtained in the following manners:
- Live Series Collection
- Mexico City Series Program
- Nation of Baseball Conquest
- Negro Leagues Storylines
Core cards that are less than 90 OVR can be obtained through Team Affinity, Battle Royale, the Nation of Baseball Conquest, as well as through Other Programs.
Keep in mind that this is just a few examples, as San Diego Studios could all more Program-exclusive Core cards throughout the year.
