On July 12, 2024, Sony San Diego released the second stage of Team Affinity 2. It had an All-Star theme to it, as all cards featured players who will be in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. While Team Affinity 2: Chapter 2 items are 95 OVR, Diamond Dynasty players can acquire six 99 OVR cards, plus a Wild Card slot, through the MLB The Show 24 All-Star Collection. Here’s an explainer on how it works and how to make progress.

These are the All-Star Collection rewards for MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty:
- 6 2024 All-Star Cards: Wild Card Slot for Season 2
- 25 Cards: 99 OVR Emmanuel Clase
- 30 Cards: 99 OVR Chris Sale
- 40 Cards: 99 OVR Fernando Tatis Jr.
- 55 Cards: 99 OVR Paul Skenes
- 65 Cards: 99 OVR Shohei Ohtani
- 80 Cards: 99 OVR Aaron Judge

How to make progress in All-Star Collection
Obviously, 2024 All-Star cards will be needed to complete the MLB The Show 24 All-Star Collection. However, there are venues to collect All-Star cards.
Thirty 2024 All-Star cards, all of which are bosses, can be found in Team Affinity 2: Chapter 2. As of July 12, 2024, those are the only 2024 cards available in Diamond Dynasty. However, more are on the way.
Additionally, Futures Skills Challenge, 2024 MLB Draft, 2024 Home Run Derby, and more 2024 All-Stars will be released during the week of July 14. These cards will count towards the collection.
Here’s a breakdown of the schedule for when more cards will be released:
- July 14: MLB Draft Choice Pack
- July 15: Futures Skills Challenge (Free Pack found in The Show Shop), Home Run Derby Choice Pack
- July 16: 2024 All-Star Game Choice Pack
Be mindful that MLB Draft, Home Run Derby, and 2024 All-Star Game cards released on these dates will be in packs. However, there will be ways to earn players for the collection.
SDS will drop an MLB Draft Conquest map on July 15, which will include players not in the Choice Pack. There will also be an All-Star Week Program on July 16. That will include a guaranteed rare round pack for either the MLB Draft, Home Run Derby, or All-Star Game Choice.
