Sony San Diego will roll out a new MLB The Show 24 update during the early hours of August 22, a week before the launch of Season 3 in Diamond Dynasty. This update is minor in nature but will see tweaks made to Franchise Mode, Stadium Creator, and Diamond Dynasty. Here’s a look at what the devs stated will be in the August 22 patch of MLB The Show 24.

MLB The Show 24 Update 1.18 notes

Here’s the patch notes for MLB The Show 24 update 1.18:

Diamond Dynasty

  • The My Inventory menu will no longer reset to the Orioles Live Series collection after quick-selling a card.

Franchise

  • Toronto Blue Jays Canada uniforms will now automatically be worn on Canada Day.

Create a Stadium

  • New racing themed props have been added to help celebrate the announcement of the MLB Bristol event.

Developer Notes

  • There are no gameplay or live content balance changes in this update.

This patch made just minor tweaks to the franchise. One is that the Toronto Blue Jays will now wear their red Canada uniforms on Canada Day automatically. Traditionally, the Jays wear their red uniforms on the first of July.

Additionally, the developers will add new props that fit the racetrack theme. This comes after Major League Baseball announced a regular season game will be contested in Bristol Speedway next season. The Reds and Braves will participate.

And yet again, Sony San Diego did not make any gameplay changes. The developers have not made gameplay changes since earlier in the summer. Whether the developers choose to make any additional tweaks for the remainder of the game’s lifecycle remains to be seen.
