On September 27, the MLB The Show 24 Career Tribute Program went live in Diamond Dynasty. Sony San Diego released a program titled Career Tribute in 2023, and that one included sendoff cards for Miguel Cabrera and Adam Wainwright. This one mirrors it, as the 2024 version includes a 99 OVR card for the retiring Charlie Blackmon, plus other veteran players who have starred in Major League Baseball over the last decade.

How to make progress in Career Tribute Program

MLB The Show 24 will need to complete Moments, stat, and PXP Missions to get this one done.

First off, there are three dedicated moments for each of the 10 featured players in this program. Those are worth two points each. So, 60 pts. can be claimed from those right off the bat.

Then, there are stat-based Missions. Here’s a look at those:

  • Chris Martin – seven K’s and one hold with relief pitchers (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Kevin Pillar – two hits with Blue Jays and one stolen base with primary center fielder (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Rich Hill – 13 K’s with starting pitchers and three innings with 35+ year-old pitchers (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Jason Heyward – two extra-base hits with primary right fielders and one home run with Brave (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Matt Carpenter – two extra-base hits with second basemen and two hits with Cardinals (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Jose Abreu – four total bases with first basemen and one home run with White Sox (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Kevin Kiermaier – two extra-base hits with center fielders and two hits with Rays (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Zack Greinke – three innings pitched with Royals and three innings pitched Dodgers (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Charlie Blackmon – four total bases with center fielders and four total bases with Rockies (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)
  • Andrew McCutchen – three total bases with center fielders and one home run with Pirates (6 pts. – 3 pts. each)

The aforementioned stat missions can be completed in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest.

And, there are player-specific PXP Missions.

PXP Missions require MLB The Show 24 players to play with the cards unlocked from this program. However, there’s no standardized number for each one, as the number needed is based on a past achievement of that player. For example, Diamond Dynasty players needed 174 PXP for Kevin Kiermaier, which matches his career Defensive Runs Saved.

These Missions can be completed in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest. All yield three points, unless otherwise specified.

  • Chris Martin – 217 PXP
  • Kevin Pillar – 230 PXP
  • Rich Hill – 174 PXP
  • Jason Heyward – 135 PXP
  • Matt Carpenter – 55 PXP
  • Jose Abreu – 187 PXP
  • Kevin Kiermaier – 174 PXP
  • Zack Greinke – 100 PXP (4 pts.)
  • Charlie Blackmon – 67 PXP (5 pts.)

These PXP Missions, in total, are worth 30 pts.
