On May 31, Sony San Diego released the Lou Gehrig Program in MLB The Show 24. It’s become a yearly tradition for MLB The Show to honor the Iron House for Lou Gehrig Day, which raises awareness for ALS. This year’s program includes packs, 80,000 XP, and a 90 OVR Gehrig that could be of use in Season 2 and beyond.

How to make progress
To complete this program, one must complete a series of tasks. These tasks include Moments and Missions.
Here’s a look at the different tasks:
- Complete five Moments (20 pts. – 4 pts. each)
- Stats and PXP Missions:
- Tally 15 hits with primary first basemen in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts.)
- Tally eight extra-base hits with primary first basemen in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts.)
- Tally 15 hits with Yankees in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts.)
- Tally four home runs with Yankees in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts.)
- Tally 400 PXP with Yankees in 1v1 Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, and Conquest (4 pts.)
Much like the Jackie Robinson Program, this one is designed to be easy. However, one can’t ignore the Moments, as all five must be completed given none of the Missions are repeatable.
From there, load up on Yankees, as well as primary first baseman to use either in online or single-player action. For those in need of ideas, options include Core Captain Don Mattingly via the Captains Choice Pack, 96 OVR Season Awards Anthony Rizzo, or even the 87 OVR Gehrig that was a Battle Royale reward.
This program will not expire.
