A new update for MLB The Show 24 will go live at 7 AM ET on October 3 across all consoles. It’s a smaller update but one that will bring some noticeable changes. Among them include player likeness tweaks and the addition of a new league sponsor on official MLB and MiLB gear. Here’s a look at the October 3 patch notes for MLB The Show 24.

Here’s a look at the patch notes for the MLB The Show 24 October 3 update:

General 

  • Sponsor helmet decals will now be displayed for Postseason teams in Road to the Show, Franchise, March To October, and Postseason game modes.

  • Updated player likeness for the following MiLB players:

    • Will Brennan 
    • Daniel Schneemann 
    • Cade Smith 
    • Spencer Arrighetti 
    • Zach Dezenzo 
    • Bryan King 
    • Shay Whitcomb 
    • Cade Povich 
    • Genesis Cabrera 
    • Max Lazar 
    • Weston Welson 
    • Tobias Myers 
    • Yu Darvish 
    • Mason McCoy 
    • Travis Bazzana 
    • Roman Anthony 
    • Marcelo Mayer 
    • Luisangel Acuna 

Per the development team, player likeness updates will go live after the content update on October 4.

Developer Notes 

  • There are no gameplay or live content balance changes in this update. 

The most sizable changes coming in this update are updated likenesses for rookies like Tobias Myers and Luisangel Acuna, as well as prospects Roman Anthony and Travis Bazzana.

Additionally, SDS will also add sponsor decals for Postseason teams in MLB The Show 24, much like how MLB teams are sporting the Strauss logo during the 2024 playoffs. Major League Baseball and Strauss announced a partnership in September 2024, which will see the latter’s logo adorned on MLB team helmets during the playoffs, upcoming MLB games in Europe, and on all MiLB helmets beginning in 2025.

Lastly, there were no gameplay updates. No gameplay tweak has been made since June 13, 2024.
