The wait is over and MLB The Show 25 has arrived. The new game is also bringing back Inning Programs, which included several new bosses over a certain period of time. The MLB The Show 25 1st Inning Program includes packs and three 88 OVR Bosses that are among the best players in the game at launch.

This program is extremely similar to the format used in MLB The Show 21. Players will have to grind over a four-week span to accumulate rewards, before it resets with a fresh reward path.

After 500,000 XP is obtained, a loop will be unlocked. Get 30,000 more XP to get an additional reward. This is repeatable.

How to make progress

Simply put, MLB The Show 25 players can make progress by playing the game in any game mode. Obviously, playing more Diamond Dynasty will yield more XP — and I’ll get into why in a minute. But, Franchise Mode, March to October, and Road to the Show also count towards the path.

Now, there are multiple ways to get XP: either through gameplay or by completing other programs. By “other” programs, I mean Spotlight, Cornerstone, and Themed Programs.

Those smaller programs will generally include XP bonuses that won’t count towards the cap. At launch, players will be capped to getting 160,000 XP from gameplay (i.e. hitting home runs, striking out batters — the better you play, the more XP will be earned).

This gameplay cap, per the development team, will rise 30,000 XP a day.

Bosses & Cornerstone Cards

There are three bosses for the 1st Inning Program. Here’s a look at the three:

Adrian Beltre

MLB The Show 25 88 OVR Beltre

Mark McGwire

MLBTS 25 88 OVR Mark McGwire

Manny Ramirez

MLBTS 25 88 OVR Manny Ramirez

Ramirez is a new Legend.

Two of the three bosses are obtainable within the program itself. All three are tradeable, meaning the last can be obtained on the Marketplace.

Should one get all three, those cards can then be added into a 1st Inning Boss Collection, found within the 1st Inning Program screen. Do this, and you’ll unlock an XP voucher towards the 2nd Inning Program.

As for the three Cornerstone Choice Packs, those include 79 OVR Silver versions of the aforementioned three players: Bobby Abreu, Dick Allen, and Ubaldo Jimenez.

Obtaining one of those players unlock an Evolution program for said player, where Diamond Dynasty users can unlock a Diamond version of that individual.

None of the three are Captains.

When does it expire?

The 1st Inning Program expires on April 11, 2025.
