MLB The Show 25 Elly De La Cruz Takeover Program: Rewards & how to make progress

On May 2, Sony San Diego led MLB The Show 25 cover athlete Elly De La Cruz to take over the game. Not only is Elly featured on the bootup screen of MLB The Show by himself but he’s also the subject of a new Assorted Program. The Elly De La Cruz Takeover Program allows Diamond Dynasty players to get a 90 OVR card featuring the cover athlete.

Complete five Moments (20 pts. – 4 pts. each)
Stat Missions:
- Get 25 hits with switch-hitters (4 pts.)
- Tally five home runs with primary shortstops (4 pts.)
- Tally 10 stolen bases with primary shortstops (4 pts.)
- Tally 25 hits with hitters with 80+ Fielding (4 pts.)
- Tally 25 extra-base hits with hitters with 80+ Speed (4 pts.)
- Tally 25 hits with Reds players (4 pts.)
- Tally 1,000 PXP with Reds players (4 pts)
OPTIONAL Elly De La Cruz Missions:
- Tally four hits with any Elly De La Cruz card (4 pts.)
- Tally two stolen bases with any Elly De La Cruz card (4 pts.)
- Tally one home run with any Elly De La Cruz card (4 pts.)
- Tally 444 PXP with any Elly De La Cruz card (4 pts.)

All stat missions can be done in either single-player or multiplayer.

Those who’ve yet to do the Rolen & The Reds Program can double up on the Reds Missions, as this program includes several overlapping ones. Additionally, this is one that heavily focuses on using players with high Fielding and Speed.

Luckily, there are several players who can help with several Missions. For example, the 89 OVR Ozzie Smith from the 2nd Inning Program is a switch-hitter and possesses 80+ Fielding and Speed. The 87 OVR Egg Hunt Volpe (Conquest) and 86 OVR Jordan Lawler (Pipeline) also meet the Fielding/Speed requirements.

It should be noted there are two Elly De La Cruz cards available as of this writing. One is the Live Series card, while there’s another in the Starter Program. Either can be used for the optional missions.
