Konami will release Professional Baseball Spirits 2026, the latest installment of the official NPB simulation baseball franchise, in the second half of this year. It has been nearly two years since the launch of the last game. And for those in North America who may be wondering why this is a big deal, it will have something that no other baseball game has at the moment: a fully fleshed-out WBC tournament mode.

Details on Professional Baseball Spirits 2026

Professional Baseball Spirits 2026 will be the next installment of the franchise after Konami used the past game for two years, 2024 and 2025. Konami released the last game in 2024, and then provided a free roster & season update for the 2025 campaign.

As one would expect, the game will include updated rosters, as well as new foreign players who’ve come over since the end of the 2025 campaign.

Much like the 2024-25 version, it is built on Konami’s eBaseball Engine and the Unreal Engine. From a visual standpoint, it looks very much on par with the 2024-25 version.

This game will also have a complete 2026 World Baseball Classic tournament mode, the first time that Konami has done so since 2009.

It will include the countries, teams, players — Cal Raleigh was shown in the trailer — as well as a rarity in Japanese baseball games: a playable MLB stadium. Londo Park, the in-game name for LoanDepot Park, will be in Professional Baseball Spirits.

Not only will players be able to choose to play with different countries, Konami has also included past Japanese national teams. That means players like Daisuke Matsuzaka, Ichiro, Nori Aoki, Kenji Johjima, Akinori Iwamura, and Yu Darvish will be among the notable current and former NPB & Major League players playable in the game.

However, WBC content will be region restricted, as Asian markets will have access to it.

Konami has made this game somewhat more accessible for English-speaking players over the years. For Spirits 2024-25, many of the game menus had English text on them. That will be the case, based upon screenshots for ’26. And, it will also have English commentary for the first time.

Longtime MLB announcer and eBaseball Pro Spirit announcer Josh Lewin will be the English voice of Professional Baseball Spirits 2026.

Here is the entire trailer:

Professional Baseball Spirits 2026 will launch on July 16, 2026. It will be available for the PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).
