Before we get into the top 10, we have to start with Boston College. The Eagles won two of three against Virginia this past weekend, highlighted by a 17-0 victory on March 28 in Boston. Overall, BC is now 20-9 on the season.
Aside from sliding Virginia down a couple of spots, it’s another notch on what’s been an unexpectedly good season from the Eagles. Boston College lost several big pieces from its 2025 roster, most notably now-Brewers prospect Josiah Ragsdale.
However, several major wins in ACC play have helped the Eagles, projected to finish last in the conference via the coaches’ poll, into a much better spot.
The other school that moved into the top 25 was Nebraska. The Cornhuskers scored 10 or more runs in three of the four wins that the school picked up this past week. Nebraska beat Kansas State in a midweek matchup, then swept Indiana in Big 10 play.
It’s been a great year for three Cornhuskers: Case Sanderson, Mac Moyer, and Dylan Carey. All three are batting at least .360 as of March 30. Moyer left the weekend with a .413 average, while Carey has a team-high eight home runs.
Moving to the top 10 now, the top four remained unchanged. UNC jumped in after a three-game sweep of Notre Dame in Indiana. Oregon and Oregon State are also in the top 10, as well. Oregon played well in a road week down in California. OSU won four games this past week, one of which came against USC.
Florida and Alabama rose in the ranks. The Gators swept the Razorbacks in Arkansas, which also pushed the ‘Hogs down to #16. Brendan Lawson had a loud game during the series finale, as he picked up a home run and two singles against Arkansas.
Alabama blew out Auburn in Game 1 of their three-game series and received terrific pitching from Tyler Fay. The Tide won 3-2 and 3-1 in the second and third games, respectively.
