On the Fourth of July, Major League Baseball announced the individuals who will be going to Philadelphia for the 2026 All-Star Game. As expected, there will be no shortage of stars, highlighted by hometown boy Mike Trout & a lot of Dodgers.

Thanks to the Phase 1 results, Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement was the first addition to the American League roster. Clement was the top vote-getter in that phase.

Clement was supposed to be joined by fellow Blue Jay Vladimir Guerrero Jr., also named a starter. However, Guerrero Jr. stated on July 4 that he will decline to participate, citing a nagging back injury.

Nick Kurtz will instead start at first for the American League.

Yordan Alvarez, who was second in the Majors in total home runs (28), will be on the team, as will Byron Buxton, who is nearby with 25 home runs.

Mike Trout, currently on the IL, is going to the 2026 All-Star Game. Aaron Judge, likely out thanks to a fractured rib, was also named a starter for the contest.

The bench includes two of the best sluggers in the AL, first basemen Ben Rice and Nick Kurtz, plus rookies Kevin McGonigle and Travis Bazzana.

Cam Schlittler, Drew Rasmussen, and Parker Messick, three of the best starters in the Junior Circuit, headline the AL pitching staff.

Shohei Ohtani received the most votes in Phase 1, which automatically earned him a spot on the National League roster.

Ohtani will be joined by three other Dodgers as starters. Andy Pages, Max Muncy, and Freddie Freeman were also picked to represent the reigning World Series champions.

The NL East dominates the rest of the starting lineup. Two Braves (Ozzie Albies & Drake Baldwin) will join CJ Abrams, Juan Soto, and Phillie Brandon Marsh. Marsh, representing the hometown team, will also be joined by Bryce Harper and current home run leader Kyle Schwarber.

Harper was a Legacy Pick, meaning that the Commissioner’s Office picked him to participate in the event. This has been done in the past, most recently so Clayton Kershaw could appear in what was his final All-Star Game in 2025.

As always, please note that these are the rosters as of writing. Due to injury and/or pitcher schedules, some players may be removed & replaced.

The bench includes Pete Crow-Armstrong, NL hits leader Otto Lopez, and Rockies slugger Hunter Goodman.

Cristopher Sanchez, Jacob Misiorowski, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Paul Skenes, and Chris Sale headline a very deep pitching staff.
