After making use of Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-25, Konami will release eBaseball Pro Spirit 2026 (also known as Professional Baseball Spirits 2026) worldwide this coming July. It’s the official simulation baseball franchise for the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) in Japan — and it comes with more than that. Here’s what you need to know about the title.
What is the release date of eBaseball Pro Spirit 2026?
July 16, 2026.
What consoles will it launch for?
PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam).
This is in line with what platforms it was available for in 2024.
Will it be in English & available for purchase globally?
Yes and yes.
In Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-25, some of the text was labeled in English. This was mostly confined to the main menu of the game. But for 2026, it will have English-language menus, as confirmed by Konami.

Additionally, English commentary will be available. Josh Lewin, who is the English commentator for the free-to-play eBaseball Pro Spirit game, will be available as a selectable announcer.
And yes, it is available for purchase on the English PlayStation Store and on Steam (listed under eBaseball Pro Spirit).
Modes & features
The bulk of Professional Baseball Spirits is focused on its single-player game modes.
Star Player allows players to either choose a current NPB player or create their own and partake in a career mode. There is also a Franchise/Season Mode, as well as a mode that allows players to build their own high school baseball programs. For those unaware, the Japanese high school baseball system is highly competitive.
Will it have the WBC?
Yes, the Japanese & Asian versions of eBaseball Pro Spirit will have the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
MLB The Show 26 had a license for the WBC, using players from the event and official jerseys/logos in Diamond Dynasty. This was confined to just Diamond Dynasty. However, Professional Baseball Spirits will have a dedicated tournament mode, plus a scenario mode that’ll recreate the actual happenings of the event.
Per the Japanese listing, all players from the World Baseball Classic will be available for use. The screenshots confirmed as much, as Mariners & Team USA catcher Cal Raleigh was briefly seen in one with Shohei Ohtani.
Ohtani, by the way, is in the game as an early purchase bonus. Individuals who buy the game by December 31, 2026, can use the 2026 Samurai Japan version of Ohtani.
Legends
For those who didn’t play Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-25, the game does have a considerable amount of legendary NPB players — many of whom also played in the Majors.
While we don’t know the full list of legends for ’26, the screenshots listed former Major Leaguers Ichiro, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Kenji Johjima, Akinori Iwamura, Yu Darvish, and Nori Aoki as among players who will be in the game.
Other notable Major Leaguers who were in 2024-25 included Koji Uehara, Hideki Matsui, as well as gaijin players like Brad Eldred and Randy Messenger.
