Set 5 Collection Rewards in MLB The Show 23

The Set 5 Collection in MLB The Show 23 works much like the ones we saw for Set 1Set 2, Set 3, and Set 4. Simply put, you’ll need to collect a plethora of Legends and Flashbacks that fall under the Set 5 banner.

Let’s start off with the first reward. At 50 cards, players can obtain a 99 OVR Finest Series card of Marlins reliever Tanner Scott.

At 75 cards collected, former Astros hurler J.R. Richard is the reward.

Those who collect 120 cards can get a 99 OVR Finest Isaac Paredes.

And at 150 cards, MLB The Show 23 players can unlock a Retro Finest of Baseball Hall of Famer Tim Raines.

Then, there are the Set 5 Collection Choice Packs. Only one can be chosen from the Choice Pack, but players can unlock three of them. One will be unlocked for those who have collected 100, 140, and 170 Set 5 cards.

These thresholds are lower than the ones for previous Sets, but that makes sense given that the life cycle of MLB The Show 23 is drawing to a close.

Here are the options from the Set 5 Collection Choice Pack:

Bo Bichette

William Contreras

Shohei Ohtani

The Ohtani has both pitching and hitting stats.

So, how can you get Set 5 cards? Start with Team Affinity 5, which will unlock 30 Team Affinity 5 Finest bosses upon full completion, plus 30 Retro Finest and Captain cards.

Additionally, be on the lookout for additional Other Programs, as well as Battle Royale and packs.

By the way, make sure to click A/X and then ‘Advance’ to lock in cards for collections. Be mindful, however, that locked-in cards that were tradeable can no longer be sold.
