MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty players should get familiar with the term Conquest. Conquest is a single-player mode that can earn players progress towards programs, as well as other rewards like packs and player items. Here’s an overview of how Conquest works in MLB The Show 24, including the phases and objectives.
What is Conquest in MLB The Show 24?
Conquest is a single-player mode in MLB The Show 24 Diamond Dynasty with one primary goal: take all the Territories (denoted by a clear space) and Strongholds (denoted by a team logo).
Territories are open or taken positions on the map that can be taken in the Attack phase, which we’ll get to in a second. Both you and the CPU teams have Territories, meaning there will be a jockeying for position. Open Territories can be taken so long as there’s more than one Fan in a neighboring Territory, while a taken one must be played for.
Territory battles can be simulated. But, it does help to have a fan advantage, denoted by the number in the space. Stronghold battles, on the other hand, must be played manually.

How Goals and Phases Work
Each Conquest comes with a specific set of Goals. To complete the Conquest map, one must take all the Territories and Strongholds and finish all the Goals. Goals can be pulled by selecting Y (for Xbox) or Triangle (for PlayStation).
Usually, these goals are just to take all the Strongholds and Territories. But on some occasions, one might have to either steal fans or take a certain Stronghold by a particular turn.
In each turn, there are phases. Here’s a look at how each phase works:
- Attack: This is the phase where Territories and Strongholds can be taken. However, a Fans advantage is critical here. One can see the Fans of an opposing Stronghold by clicking X/Square.
- Steal: This is the phase where teams can be challenged, without taking a Territory or Stronghold. However, one can gain Fans from an opposing team.
- Reinforce: Diamond Dynasty players can add Fans to a specific Territory or Stronghold.
- Move: Here, Diamond Dynasty players can move Fans from one Territory and Stronghold to another.
And, we should also note that are usually some hidden rewards in the Territory holdings. These can range from items to even rare packs.
